O exalted one, know and be aware...

...that this year's gala celebration of the Year of Iran at the Freer and Sackler Galleries was filled with good fortune, felicity, and grand festivities! During the lively reception in the Sackler Gallery, guests were serenaded by musical duo Yoko K.; had their fortunes read; and enjoyed a private viewing of Falnama: The Book of Omens with exhibition organizer Massumeh Farhad, chief curator and curator of Islamic art. Dinner was served in the Freer Gallery with a menu inspired by Persian cuisine, followed by dessert and dancing with DJ Babek. Throughout the evening, guests bid on auction items donated by Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and the empress of Iran.
