Vidya Dehejia
Barbara Stoler Miller Professor of Indian and South Asian Art at Columbia University, Dr. Dehejia was honored in 2012 with the President of India’s prestigious Padma Bhushan award for her contribution to art and education. Her writings range from early Buddhist art and Chola bronzes to an examination of narrative, issues of gender, and colonialism. Her published works include The Body Adorned, The Sensuous and the Sacred, Devi, The Great Goddess.
