Mira Nair
Acclaimed director, producer, philanthropist and owner of Mirabai Films, Ms. Nair incorporates Iyengar Yoga into her professional life and artistic process. She is a prolific filmmaker who fluidly moves between Hollywood and independent cinema: Monsoon Wedding, The Namesake, Vanity fair and The Reluctant Fundamentalist are some of her titles. Ms. Nair’s debut feature film, Salaam Bombay! won the Camera D'Or and the Prix du Publique at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as 25 other international awards.
