Barakaat Middle Eastern Dance Company was founded in Baltimore in 2010. The company performs traditional and fusion-style belly dance at leading cultural events throughout the Baltimore-Washington metro area and beyond. Its members share a deep love and admiration for the traditional dance and music of the Middle East and the innovations that have grown from those roots. Barakaat strives to bring artistic, dynamic, and professional representations of belly dance to our corner of the world.
